Get your FSA ID (username and password) for you and for one of your parents at fsaid.ed.gov. The FSA ID is how you sign for your application electronically.
Collect the documents you need to apply, including income tax returns and W-2 forms.
Your Social Security number and your parents' Social Security number if you are providing parent information.
Your driver's license if you have one.
Information on savings, investments, and business assets for yourself and for your parents if you are providing parent information.
